Testing / Reporting a suspected or confirmed case
The Government have advised that they will be encouraging regular testing of households, childcare and support bubbles of primary age pupils. This is to counter those without symptoms who may still pass Covid 19 on to others. This means that 'home testing' kits will be made freely available to anyone within the household or childcare bubble of a primary age child.
Within the above link are details of how you can collect or order your own Lateral Flow Device (LFD) test kits.
Please do not contact the school for LFD test kits as we do not have any to pass on to parents.
Reporting a suspected or confirmed case
Please let the school know about any positive test result as soon as you hear the result. We may need to isolate others in the same class group or bubble. This includes letting us know over a weekend or after the end of each term, including throughout the Easter break. Specifically, it is important for schools to be made aware if a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school.
Please notify us at email@example.com if your child develops symptoms within 48 hours of being in school, and they receive a positive test result over the Easter break.
Where a pupil tests positive for coronavirus, having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, the school does not need to be contacted. Parents and carers should then follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.
