Welcome to Broke Hall Community Primary School.
We are a large, friendly school of 650 pupils and over 100 staff. Our school is situated in a pleasant residential area on the eastern edge of Ipswich.
The school comprises of 22 classrooms brimming with learning, an IT suite, large library and group work rooms and shared areas in constant use by Learning Support Assistants and volunteers. The school hall is used for assemblies, lunches and PE sessions. Outside we have a large playground and school field which are a buzz of activity when the weather permits.
We strive to provide an environment which enables children to achieve high academic standards, develop an understanding of themselves and others; and to care about the world and their country in which they live.
The staff are committed to delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning whilst maintaining a strong pastoral ethos. Children are valued as individuals and encouraged to participate in a range of activities enabling them to develop skills and attitudes, which help to equip them for life.
Transition for all stages, whether from Reception to Year 1, Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 or from Year 6 to high school are carefully planned. We maintain close contact with other local schools and aim to make the transition to High School as seamless as possible.
As a school, we place a high value on establishing close links between home and school so that we can effectively work together to achieve the best for each child.
