Have a look through the booklet to discover more about your new year group.
'Moving Up' Activities
Here are some activities that your new teachers would like you to do during the weeks beginning 6th July and 13th July.
Week beginning Monday 6th July
This week we would like you to tell us 'All about you'. Click on the image below to find out more.
We have also provided a range of science experiments for you to try at home. We hope that you enjoy them.
Week beginning Monday 13th July
Well done to those who have already sent us your Year 6 application letters. We have loved finding out more about you. It is not too late to complete your application (see the 'All about you' link above).
This week we would like you to create a mini project based on the idea of an 'Anywhere Island'. Click on the image below to find out more.
We have also provided some art and craft ideas for you to try at home. We look forward to seeing how creative you can be.
Catch yourself doing maths
This week’s challenge is to ‘Catch yourself doing maths’. Perhaps you could be counting ice-creams at the beach, spotting symmetry in an old building or measuring the capacity of your paddling pool. Take a photo and email it to email@example.com so that it can be added to a display for September.
Your new teacher would love to see what you have achieved. You can send a photo of this learning in to the Year 6 teachers by emailing using this transition email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have any questions that you would like to ask your new teacher, please use this email address. Maybe you would like to tell them something special about yourself. Send a message in and your new teachers will send you a reply.
